Meanwhile, due to rains, natural disasters, network issues, and technical problems in the state, many women were unable to complete their e-KYC on time. The previous deadline was November 18, 2025.
The Maharashtra government's Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana has become a financial support for millions of women in the state. Under this scheme, women receive monthly financial assistance to help them meet their household and personal needs. However, a major problem has arisen recently. Many women were unable to complete their e-KYC, putting their instalments at risk of being stopped. The government has clarified that women who do not complete their e-KYC will not receive the scheme funds. Meanwhile, due to rains, natural disasters, network issues, and technical problems in the state, many women were unable to complete their e-KYC on time. The deadline was originally set for November 18, 2025, but given the difficulties faced by millions of women, the government has extended this date to December 31, 2025. This decision has brought relief to women, but a major question remains: Is your name on the list of women whose e-KYC is pending?
Why has the government made e-KYC mandatory?
The government wants to ensure that the scheme's funds reach the right and eligible women. In recent months, numerous complaints have been received, such as two applications submitted under the same name, incorrect information submitted in bank accounts, and fraudulent entries found in some locations. Therefore, verifying identity through Aadhaar has been made mandatory. The government has clearly stated that no money will be credited to any woman's account without e-KYC.
Is your e-KYC complete? Find out how
You can check whether your e-KYC has been completed in a few seconds using your mobile phone. For this, first open the ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in portal. Now click on e-KYC, enter the Aadhaar number and fill the captcha. After this click on Send OTP. Now the system will tell that e-KYC already completed means everything is fine, Aadhaar number is not in the eligible list means your name is not in the list yet or Complete your e-KYC means your process is pending. The rules of the scheme clearly say that the women whose e-KYC remains incomplete will not get their next installment. The system will automatically put those beneficiaries in Pending or Inactive. Therefore it is very important to get the e-KYC done before 31st December.
