Train Cancelled: With the onset of winter, a common train problem has returned. Dense fog has begun to cover large parts of North India, including North Bihar. A white haze covers the tracks from night to morning, causing many trains to be delayed by hours. In light of the situation, the Railways have taken a major step. A total of 24 trains running in and around Patna, Prayagraj, Howrah, Amritsar, Kamakhya, Kolkata, Ajmer, Ambala, and their surrounding areas have been cancelled for a period of three months. This suspension will last from December 1st to February 28th and will impact the travel plans of millions of passengers.

This is why the decision was taken.

The Railways states that operating trains at safe speeds during fog poses a significant challenge. Reduced visibility makes signals and tracks difficult to see, increasing the risk of accidents. To ensure safe operations and prevent major accidents, several long-route trains have been temporarily cancelled. The Railways believes this will reduce pressure on the entire network and allow other trains to operate safely and in a controlled manner.
