Big change in Aadhar card
Aadhaar Card Update: Aadhar Card, which has become the most important identity document of every Indian today, is going to undergo the biggest change in it till date. The Central Government and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) are soon preparing to implement such a system, after which neither your address nor your date of birth will be written on your Aadhaar card. In the coming days, the form of Aadhar card will change completely. Now only your photo and a QR code will be visible.
Details will disappear to protect personal information
The biggest reason for this change is your and our privacy, i.e. protection of privacy. UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, while disclosing this scheme on Tuesday, said that this step is being taken to prevent misuse of personal data. It is often seen that all the information (like address, father's name, date of birth) is clearly printed on the card. People consider this printed information as 'real' and without hesitation give its photocopy to hotels, SIM card sellers or event organisers.
When so much of your sensitive information moves around on paper, the risk of its misuse increases. To eliminate this threat, UIDAI has decided that instead of printing the details on the card, they should be kept safe in digital form within the QR code.
Bhuvnesh Kumar says, "If details continue to be printed on the card, people will consider it as a document and it will continue to be misused. Therefore, in future there should be only photo and QR code."
Rules will change for hotels and organizers
We Indians have a habit that wherever we are asked for ID, we Base Give a photocopy of. Be it checking-in at a hotel or going to an event. But now this 'photocopy culture' is about to stop.
The CEO of UIDAI has informed that a new rule can be brought in the month of December. The purpose of this rule is to curb offline verification. After the introduction of the new rule, Aadhaar will not be used as a physical document. It will be authenticated online only through number or QR code. Its direct benefit will be that no one will be able to make a duplicate of your ID, because without online verification it will not be valid.
Entry of new 'super app'
Not only the card, but also the Aadhaar app present in your mobile is going to change. UIDAI has told banks, fintech companies and other stakeholders that the existing mAadhaar app will be replaced soon. A completely new app will be launched in its place.
This new app is being built under the strict rules of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) and will be fully implemented in the next 18 months. This new app will have many hi-tech features which will prove to be very beneficial for the general public.
- Address Proof Update: It will be easier to change address sitting at home.
- Non-mobile members: Those family members who do not have their own mobile can also be added to the app.
- Face Authentication: Now you will not have to stand in long lines to update the mobile number, this work can be done through face authentication.
- Entry through QR everywhere: Be it a cinema hall, hotel or entry into a society, verification will happen everywhere only by scanning the QR code.
face will become identity
Now the question arises that if there is no address on the card, then how will the verification be done? The answer is technology. Face verification will play the most important role in the new system. The process will be something like this.
- The Aadhaar holder will show his QR code in front of the verifier's scanner (OVSE scanner).
- The system will immediately ask for face verification.
- As soon as your face is scanned, it will be proved that the Aadhar card holder himself is present there.
This will not only confirm the identity, but age verification will also become more accurate. This means that underage children will not be able to enter adult places by showing fake ID. UIDAI will soon start the integration of this new technology.
