A fresh controversy has hit the Kannada reality TV scene. The popular show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 hosted by veteran actor Kiccha Sudeep is now under police and Women’s Commission scrutiny after a formal complaint was lodged accusing him and two contestants of caste‑based discrimination and humiliation of women. The complaint was filed by social activist Sandhya Pavithra N on 21 November 2025. What has happened? On 21 November 2025 social activist Sandhya Pavithra N filed a detailed complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission. She named Kiccha Sudeep the anchor of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 and two current contestants Ashwini Gowda and Rashika. The complaint outlines three major accusations: caste‑based discrimination verbal abuse and physical assault inside the house. Sandhya claimed the show promoted disrespect toward women and reinforced harmful stereotypes violating constitutional rights to dignity and equality. The activist said his comments were not just harsh but set a tone that encouraged disrespectful behaviour toward women on national television. Though Sudeep’s segment often called a “panchayat” is meant to resolve conflicts the complaint argues he failed to curb offensive language and instead amplified it.
