Bank Holidays on These Days in December 2025

As December begins, banks will be closed for a long time due to festivals, events, and regional celebrations across the country. Banks will be closed on Monday, December 1st, for Indigenous Faith Day, and in Arunachal Pradesh, for a festival related to the state's cultural identity. Following this, on Wednesday, December 3rd, Goa will observe a religious festival celebrating the feast of St. Francis Xavier, which will also result in a bank holiday.

Following this, on Friday, December 12th, banks will be closed in Meghalaya on Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma Day. There will also be a bank holiday in Chhattisgarh on December 18th, marking the birth anniversary of Guru Ghasidas. This day also marks the death anniversary of U Soso Tham, so Meghalaya will observe a bank holiday on this day.
