The month of December traditionally includes multiple cultural and regional festivals. Along with national events, weekly holidays, and state-specific observances, the total number of non-working days becomes significantly high.

Although physical branches will remain closed on these days, customers can still access:

• Net banking

• Mobile banking

• UPI and IMPS services

• ATMs for cash withdrawals

However, services like cheque clearance, passbook updates, and counter-related operations will not be available.

• 1 December (Monday): Swadeshi Aastha Diwas / State Foundation Day – observed in select northeastern regions

• 3 December (Wednesday): Feast of St. Francis Xavier – holiday in Goa

• 7 December (Sunday): Weekly off

• 12 December (Friday): Pa Togan Nengminza Sangma Death Anniversary – observed in Meghalaya

• 13 December (Saturday): Second Saturday

• 14 December (Sunday): Weekly off

• 18 December (Thursday): U Soso Tham Death Anniversary – Meghalaya

• 21 December (Sunday): Weekly off

• 25 December (Thursday): Christmas – nationwide holiday

• 27 December (Saturday): Fourth Saturday

• 28 December (Sunday): Weekly off

• Other state-specific holidays: Local festivals and observances in Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, and Sikkim will also result in additional regional bank closures.
