Wash thoroughly, soak and cook: Before preparing the lentils, it is necessary to soak them for 30 minutes. It has less anti-nutrients (phytic acid) due to which the pulses cook quickly and become easy to digest.

Use less oil, less spices: Do not cook masoor dal with too much fried spices or heavy seasoning. Simple spices like turmeric, cumin, garlic, ginger, green chillies make the dal tasty and digestion also becomes easy.

Add ghee to dal: Add a teaspoon of ghee to the lentils. It improves the absorption of amino acids in the lentils.

Eat lentils with salad or vegetables: Eating lentils with salad or vegetables increases fiber and nutrients. This keeps blood sugar under control
