Cameron Norrie has announced his engagement to his "best friend" Louise Jacobi. The couple first met at the US Open in 2019 after being introduced by mutual friends.

Norrie is Britain's No. 2 tennis player and is currently ranked at No. 27 in the world. The 30-year-old reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in the summer before being knocked out by eventual runner-up Carlos Alcaraz. But Norrie got his revenge over the Spaniard at the end of October as he came from a set down to stun the world No. 2 at the Paris Masters.

Norrie and his partner have been in South Africa enjoying a safari following the conclusion of the 2025 tennis season.

And the couple shared a series of pictures to Instagram as Louise wrote: "A special moment on our trip in South Africa. Cheers to a beautiful life together with my best friend." Louise then explained that there was a "real engagement ring to come."

Their post received thousands of likes, with Katie Boulter exclaiming, "Omg! Congrats!!" Boulter's partner Alex de Minaur wrote: "Ayeeeeeeeee congrats guys!!!! It's that time of year." And Laura Robson said: "Congrats!!!"

Norrie's future wife is the founder and creative director of creative interior design company Please Don't Touch.

She is currently taking a career break to support Norrie and explained during an interview with Tatler that "it's practically impossible to have your own career unless you're an influencer, which isn't really my thing."

She added: "Cam and I decided a few years ago, I could go get a big job in New York, like what I had, but I won't really be able to see you. And then it's kind of like, what's the point of even being in a relationship?"

And opening up about her first meeting with the tennis player, Louise explained: "A mutual friend, who used to play tennis at university, said, 'I know some guys playing in the US Open and whenever they lose, would you be interested in going out that night and meeting some of them?'.

"I really went into it with no expectations. I do now know our friends were interested in introducing Cam and I to each other, so I think it was a premeditated introduction."

Norrie enjoyed a decent year on the court throughout 2025 but was sent crashing back down to earth after his victory over Alcaraz as he lost to Valentin Vacherot in his next match at the Paris Masters.

The Briton then reached the final of the Moselle Open in Metz, where he was ultimately defeated by Learner Tien.

He also progressed to the fourth round at the French Open and the third round at the US Open after falling at the first hurdle at the Australian Open. He will be aiming to reach the latter stages of the Aussie Open in January after the tennis calendar resumes at the start of 2026, with his best performance at the Melbourne tournament coming in 2024 when he reached the fourth round.
