New Delhi: India will face Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament tomorrow. Meanwhile, India defeated Sri Lanka in the final match of the Super Four stage yesterday. India reached the final of the tournament by defeating Bangladesh. After a tie in Dubai yesterday, India defeated Sri Lanka in the Super Over. Batting first, India scored 202 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma scored 61 runs. In response to the target of 203 runs, Sri Lanka scored 202 runs in 20 overs to tie the match. Pathum Nissanka scored a century. India’s Arshdeep Singh took two wickets in the super over. In reply, India won the match by scoring three runs on the first ball.

Meanwhile, before the Asia Cup final, Team India has suffered a big setback. In the match against Sri Lanka on Friday, all-rounder Hardik Pandya kept leaving the field after bowling just one over. Along with this, star opener Abhishek Sharma also appeared to be injured. Hardik Pandya made a strong start to save India’s target of 202 runs by dismissing Sri Lankan opener Kusal Mendis. However, after the first over, he walked out of the field with a leg strain and could not come back to play again. Due to which the anxiety increased before the final. However, bowling coach Morkel later revealed that Pandya had to face stretches in the humid conditions in Dubai. The team management heaved a sigh of relief and confirmed that the all-rounder had not suffered any serious injuries. However, the decision regarding his availability for the final will be taken after the fitness assessment on Saturday.
