Delhi Police: Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested notorious and absconding gangster Harsimran alias Badal alias Simran from Thailand through a major operation. He is accused of extortion and running a gang. According to the police, the accused had fled the country in January 2025 by making a fake passport and was trying to run a gang while sitting abroad.
Gangster Harsimran is a resident of Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. There are 23 serious cases registered against him including murder, attempt to murder, extortion and Arms Act. He was out on bail in many cases and was not appearing in the court. The police was searching for him for a long time. He had fled from Lucknow to Bangkok by making a fake passport in the name of Rajesh Singh.
After continuous efforts by the police, his passport was canceled by the Ministry of External Affairs. During this time, he kept roaming between Bangkok and Dubai and kept trying to escape to Europe and America. However, every time he was caught or returned due to irregularities in the documents. With the help of central agencies, Bangkok Police arrested him and deported him back to India on 26 November 2025. The Special Cell arrested him as soon as he landed at Delhi airport.
Attempt to run a gang abroad
According to Delhi Police, Harsimran had entered the world of crime and formed his own gang. When someone did not pay the ransom, he did not hesitate to open fire. The police are now interrogating him and the search for his network is going on.
