Mumbai Late Pakistan Police officer Chaudhary Aslam was famous for his bravery against terrorists and criminal gangs and as an encounter expert. Now his wife has threatened to take legal action if her husband is shown in a wrong and negative light in the Bollywood film Dhurandhar. The trailer of the film, released earlier this month, gives a glimpse into the story of Karachi’s notorious Lyari area, which was once dominated by two rival criminal gangs.

Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt is playing the role of Chaudhary Aslam in the film. This police officer was murdered by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban. Two other police officers, their driver and security personnel were also killed in a bomb attack on Aslam’s car on the Lyari Expressway on January 9, 2014. What does Naureen Aslam object to?
In an interview to Geo Digital platform, Aslam’s wife Naureen Aslam said that she is waiting for the film to be released in Indian theaters on December 5, because only then will she know how the filmmakers have portrayed her husband. Naureen also objected to a dialogue in the trailer, in which Aslam is described as the child of the devil and a jinn. Naureen said, ‘We are Muslims and such words insult not only Aslam but also his mother, who was a simple woman. If I see my husband being portrayed wrongly in the film or any propaganda being carried out against him, I will definitely take all possible legal steps.
