Thrills, romance & mystery lead December’s K-drama wave

Several new Korean dramas are set to arrive on major OTT platforms in December 2025. Viewers will see a mix of thrillers, courtroom stories, emotional romances and survival dramas. The new releases will stream on Netflix, Prime Video, JTBC and TVING throughout the month.

The Great Flood will premiere on Netflix on December 19. The drama takes place in a future world devastated by a massive global flood. It follows a researcher and her son who are trapped inside their apartment building as water levels continue to rise. The story focuses on their struggle to survive, their fear of isolation, and the collapse of the world around them.

Pro Bono will release on TVING on December 6. The lead character is Kang David, a former top lawyer who now works as a social welfare advocate and influencer. His easy-going lifestyle changes when he meets Park Gi-Ppeum, a woman committed to justice and public service. Their meeting forces him to rethink his beliefs and responsibilities.

Surely Tomorrow will be available on JTBC and Prime Video starting December 6. The drama tells the story of Seo Ji-Woo and Lee Gyeong-Do. They fell in love in their twenties and later reunited, but eventually drifted apart again. They meet once more when Gyeong-Do, now a journalist, investigates a powerful business family. The series blends romance, emotions and newsroom tension.

The Price of Confession will launch on Netflix on December 5. The drama revolves around Yun-Su, an art teacher who is accused of killing her husband. She is unable to clear her name and is sent to prison. There, she meets Mo-Eun, a mysterious woman with a dark past. Their relationship develops inside the prison as hidden truths and unexpected alliances begin to unfold.

Netflix will also release Culinary Class War 2 on December 16. The second season brings back the intense cooking competition between the “white spoon” and “black spoon” contestants. Participants try to hide or reveal their backgrounds while proving their skills in high-pressure culinary challenges.
