1- You can easily check the egg by the texture of its shell. There is a difference between the shells of local eggs and fake eggs. The peel of desi eggs is slightly grainy, whereas the peel of farm and fake eggs is smooth.

2- The egg may appear different even after touching it. When you hit a local egg lightly with your fingernail, its sound has a distinct heaviness. It may contain water content. Apart from this, if we talk about fake egg, it feels hollow when touched and you will not hear much sound in it.

3- You can identify whether the egg you are buying is real or fake by its smell. Real eggs have little smell, but fake eggs may smell of adulterated things like tea leaves or chemicals. Synthetic colors can be used in this.

4- Desi eggs are small in size but the size of fake eggs is slightly smaller. Along with looking at the color and texture of the egg, it is also important to look at its shape. If it seems big to you, then the egg shell may be colored.

Identify egg at home by these methods

If you have bought an egg at home then you can identify it easily. Put the egg in hot water and leave it for some time. If color starts appearing in the water, then the egg is fake. Apart from this, you can further identify that if you break a local egg, its yolk is thick as well as yellow and is round in shape in a perfectly balanced manner, whose shape is not too big, whereas the yolk of a fake egg is light in colour.
