India clinched a nail-biting victory against South Africa by 17 runs in the first ODI of the three-match series at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Virat Kohli's stellar century and Kuldeep Yadav's four-fer helped India secure a lead in the series.

Chasing a massive 350, SA lost three wickets early before putting up a great fight.

Here we look at the teams to cross the 300-run mark in ODIs despite losing three wickets for 15 for fewer.

South Africa's chase in the aforementioned game started on a rocky note, with Harshit Rana striking twice in his first over

Arshdeep Singh added to their woes by sending Aiden Markram back, leaving the visitors at 11/3.

However, fifties from Matthew Breetzke, Marco Jansen, and Corbin Bosch helped the visitors bounce back.

SA were eventually folded for 332 in 49.2 overs.

346/7 from 14/3 - ENG vs SA, 2023
#2

South African pacer Lungi Ngidi made three early strikes in the 2023 Kimberley ODI as England were tottering at 14/3 batting first.

However, Dawid Malan (118) and Jos Buttler (131) scored centuries to rescue the visitors. Their brilliance meant the Brits finished at 346/7.

Later, in the game, Jofra Archer's six-fer dismantled the Proteas for 287.

368/5 from 10/3 - AUS vs SL, 2006
#1

Australia were the first team to overcome this collapse.

It was the 2006 Sydney game against Sri Lanka, where the hosts were reduced to 10/3 in the first innings.

Chaminda Vaas made all three early strikes. However, centuries from skipper Ricky Ponting (124) and Andrew Symonds meant Australia finished at a strong 368/5.

Sri Lanka, in response, were folded for 201.
