News India Live, Digital Desk: Winter season is in full swing. When I wake up in the morning, I don’t feel like leaving the quilt and all day long I just feel like sitting in front of the heater or keeping the bonfire warm. But the truth is that the artificial heat of the heater provides relief, but it is not very good for our skin and health. If the electricity bill increases, then what is the solution? The solution is very simple. If we keep our body warm from inside, then the cold outside cannot harm us. Today we are going to tell you some such easy and natural methods which will keep you warm and full of energy even in the harsh cold. 1. Magic formula of ‘Layering’ (Layering Clothes) People often make the mistake of wearing a very thick sweater or jacket. A better way than this is ‘layering’. That means wear 2-3 thin clothes one above the other. Science says that air gets trapped between the layers of clothes, which does not allow the body heat to escape. Therefore, a combination of thermals, shirts and sweaters will keep you warmer than a thick jacket.2. Include ‘hot effect’ items in your diet. The cure for cold is available in our kitchen itself. Start eating millet, maize and jaggery in winter. Ginger and garlic: Increase the amount of ginger and garlic in your dal or vegetable. These increase the body temperature naturally. Sesame seeds and peanuts: Gajak or sesame laddus are not just for taste in winter, their oil warms the body from within. 3. It is important to take sunlight (Sun Bathing) Winter sunlight not only looks good, but it is also a health tonic. Sit in the sun for at least 20-30 minutes a day. This provides Vitamin D to the body and strengthens the bones. Sitting in the sun helps the body’s natural thermostat work properly.4. Habit of drinking lukewarm water: We feel less thirsty in winter, hence we drink less water. Due to this the body gets dehydrated and we feel more cold. Try to drink lukewarm water throughout the day. It maintains proper blood circulation in the body and helps in maintaining body temperature.5. If the feet are warm then everything is warm. Our elders always used to say that “cold always rises through the feet.” Therefore, wear socks even inside the house. If your legs and head are covered, you will feel less cold in the rest of your body.
