Siddharth Kaul’s record broken
The record of taking the most wickets in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy till now was in the name of Punjab fast bowler Siddharth Kaul (120). But while playing against Delhi in Ahmedabad, as soon as Unadkat took the important wicket of Delhi captain Nitish Rana (76 runs), he overtook Kaul to become the most successful bowler of this T20 tournament. After this match, Jaydev Unadkat now tops the SMAT record with 121 wickets in 83 matches.
