Air India Express Launches Direct Flights from Pune to Abu Dhabi

On Wednesday, Murlidhar Mohol, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, announced that Air India Express has commenced direct flight services from Pune to Abu Dhabi. This new route is expected to enhance travel and business opportunities, establishing Pune on the global aviation map.


In a post on social media, he emphasized that this new route not only strengthens Pune's presence in the international aviation sector but also opens up new avenues for travel, trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. With improved access to the Middle East, thousands of travelers are anticipated to benefit from this service, further boosting Pune's growing international profile.


Air India Express Ensures Safety Checks

Meanwhile, Air India Express announced on Saturday that it has completed safety checks on most of its fleet, with the remaining inspections expected to be finalized soon. The airline prioritizes passenger safety and is working closely with Airbus and relevant authorities to minimize disruptions.


A spokesperson for Air India Express stated, "We have successfully completed precautionary safety measures on the majority of our Airbus A320 fleet, and we expect the remaining aircraft to be ready within the scheduled timeframe. This has been achieved with minimal operational impact due to the coordinated efforts of our engineering, operations, and flight safety teams." Previously, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury apologized to affected customers and passengers for delays caused by necessary repairs on some A320 aircraft.
