Ranchi: An FIR has been registered against the bar operators for illegally serving liquor and hookah in Pablo Bar and Restaurant of Kotwali police station area. Police raided the restaurant and exposed illegal activities. Kotwali police had received information that hookah and liquor were being served in Pablo Bar without permission.

After receiving the information, a special team was formed under the leadership of Kotwali DSP Prakash Soe. After this, a raid was conducted at Pablo Bar and Restaurant at around 1.45 am on Tuesday night, where the police caught 16 people inside consuming alcohol and smoking hookah. Everyone was taken into custody and brought to the Kotwali police station and interrogated. After interrogation, 16 people were released on PR bond. A birthday party was going on in Pablo Bar. During the raid, the police seized two liquor bottles, hookah and sound system from the spot. Investigation revealed that the arrested youth had come to Pablo to celebrate a birthday party. According to the police, the youth brought the liquor themselves and consumed it, but the hookah was served by the waiters of the bar.

Father and son were named accused
In this case, the police have registered an FIR in the Kotwali police station against the bar operator’s father Prakash Gupta and his son Priyansh Gupta. Both are accused of operating a bar illegally, providing liquor without a license and serving hookah. Police say that prima facie the matter is serious and the role of the operators in promoting illegal activities is clearly visible. At present, the police is investigating the whole matter in detail and is trying to find out how long such activities were going on. The police is also investigating whether complaints of such parties or serving illegal liquor and hookah had been received in the bar before or not. Police said that serving any kind of liquor or operating a bar after the license expires is completely illegal and strict legal action will be taken against it.
The way is cleared for releasing the results of JSSC CGL exam, Jharkhand High Court lifts the ban, SIT investigation will continue.
Report illegal activities to the police
Police say that after the completion of the investigation, further action will be decided against the operators. After this incident, surveillance is also being increased on illegal bars and restaurants in the city. Police say that in the coming days, other such establishments will also be investigated, where there is a possibility of serving hookah or liquor without permission. Police has also appealed to the common people to immediately inform the police station about any such illegal activity so that action can be taken in time.
