New Delhi. The resignation of Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal was accepted on Wednesday. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued an order to relieve him from the post with immediate effect. According to the ministry’s letter, Sehgal had resigned from his post on Tuesday. The competent authority has approved his resignation as per the rules. It has been said in the letter that with this he is relieved from the responsibilities of Prasar Bharati with immediate effect. Sehgal was appointed chairman of Prasar Bharati in March last year. He is a 1988 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.

Sehgal had resigned on Tuesday and was appointed to the post in March last year. He has held many important positions at both the state and central levels.
