Anthropic’s Chief Scientist Jared Kaplan has given a big warning regarding AI. He says that AI will increasingly impact white collar jobs in the next 2–3 years. Between 2027 and 2030, the era of AI designing itself may begin, which will pose a challenge to human control.

AI And The Future Of Jobs: Regarding Artificial Intelligence, Anthropic’s Chief Scientist Jared Kaplan has said that AI can affect a large number of white collar jobs in the coming two to three years. This warning has come in the context of the global tech world, where the capabilities of AI are increasing rapidly. According to Kaplan, between 2027 and 2030, AI systems will start designing new versions of their own, which could pose a major challenge to both competition and control for humans.

AI can become the biggest job killer in the next 2-3 years

A big warning has emerged regarding Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI. Jared Kaplan, Chief Scientist of AI company Anthropic, says that in the coming two to three years, AI will start taking over a large number of jobs for humans. Especially white collar jobs i.e. office work can be affected the most.

According to Kaplan, the capabilities of AI are increasing so rapidly that it is now not only equal to humans, but has even surpassed them in many cases. He says that in future the situation may become such where humans will have to compete directly with machines.

A big turning point may come between 2027 and 2030

Kaplan estimates that the period between 2027 and 2030 could prove to be the biggest turning point for AI. During this period, AI systems themselves may be able to design and train their next version i.e. successor.

He told that this process can be very fast and automatic. An AI system will create an AI smarter than itself, then the same system will create an even more advanced AI. According to Kaplan, this is the point where AI could threaten to go beyond human control.

Children’s generation will have to compete with machines

While giving an idea of the speed of AI, Kaplan also gave a personal example. He said that his six-year-old child may never be able to perform better than AI in academic work in future. This statement indicates that the coming generations may have to face direct competition with machines.

He believes that education, data analysis, content creation, coding and many office professions will be the first to be affected by AI. This may change the entire structure of the job market.

The risk of AI going out of control also increased

Kaplan also drew attention to two major dangers to AI. The first danger is that if the AI system goes out of human control, it may refuse to obey commands. This situation can create a serious crisis for humanity.

The second major danger is that if such advanced AI systems reach the wrong hands, they can be used for wrong purposes. This may increase cyber attacks, spread of misinformation and problems to global security.
