New Delhi. MLA Humayun Kabir, who had announced the construction of Babri Masjid in Beldanga, Murshidabad, West Bengal, has been suspended from the Trinamool Congress Party. Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim said that why suddenly Babri Masjid? Humayun Kabir had already been warned by the party and now he is being suspended from the party for 6 years. Humayun Kabir is adamant on laying the foundation stone of Babri Masjid tomorrow i.e. on 6th December. He said that if needed, I will announce a new party on December 22.
Mamta Banerjee has a rally in Murshidabad district today and just before that, action has been taken against Humayun Kabir. Humayun Kabir is the MLA from Bharatpur assembly constituency of Murshidabad. Let us tell you that after Humayun Kabir announced the construction of Babri Masjid, BJP is continuously cornering Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on this issue. Seeing the matter gaining momentum, Trinamool Congress had already distanced itself from Humayun Kabir’s statement. If Humayun Kabir forms his own party, it can also pose a challenge to TMC in the state assembly elections to be held next year.
Targeting the Bengal CM in this matter, BJP had said that Mamata Banerjee wants to create tension by getting her MLA to lay the foundation of Babri Masjid on December 6. Mamta ji is deliberately doing this on 6th December. BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain had also said that nothing should be done in the name of Babar in India. Babar was an invader, he came and demolished the Ram temple, now the Ram temple has been constructed, no Indian wants anything in the name of Babar.
