'Eko' writer Bahul Ramesh calls Pradeep Ranganathan's 'Love Today' 'innovative and creative,' unlike 'cliche' love stories

In his view, most films dealing with love lean heavily on familiar beats and emotional shortcuts. “It is different from cliched and cheesy love stories,” Bahul said, noting that the Tamil hit brought a fresh perspective to relationships shaped by social media, smartphones and mistrust.
Bahul credited director Pradeep Ranganathan for being bold enough to take a risk both behind and in front of the camera. The filmmaker not only wrote and directed ‘Love Today’ but also starred in it. Bahul admired that confidence, calling it a daring call of the director who acted as well in the film.
