Gasoline price rose slightly Thursday afternoon while diesel continued to plunge.
The popular fuel RON95 added 2.3% from a week ago to VND20,460 (US$0.78) per liter.
Biofuel E5 RON92 increased 2.8% to VND19,820.
Diesel tumbled 3% to VND18,890, lowest in six weeks.
Globally the global petroleum market over the past seven days has been affected by multiple factors, including rising tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela, and failure of the U.S. and Russia to reach an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
RON95 added 2.9% to $81.9 per barrel while diesel dropped 2.7% to $86.1.
