Material

  • Mustard greens – 750 grams
  • Spinach greens – 250 grams
  • Bathua greens – 250 grams
  • Water- 2 cups
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Corn flour- 1 1/2 cups
  • Green chilli- 4
  • Ginger- 25 grams
  • Garlic- 6 cloves
  • Onion-2
  • Ghee
  • Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp red
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp

Know how to make Sarso Ka Saag

  • To make Sarso Ka Saag, first wash all three greens thoroughly.
  • Put all three greens in a pressure cooker, add some salt and water. After this, cook it on low flame for half an hour.
  • Now squeeze out all the water from the greens and keep it aside.
  • Mash the greens well in the cooker and add a little corn flour to it and mix.
  • After this, add greens water and normal water along with it in the cooker, cook it on low flame.
  • Add green chillies and ginger to the greens and cook until it thickens.
  • Now prepare tadka for this, heat oil in a pan. Fry onion, ginger, garlic, red chili powder and coriander powder in it.
  • When the onions turn golden brown, add this seasoning to the greens and mix.
  • Punjabi style sarson ka saag is ready. You can serve it hot with corn bread.
