Beloved Pets at Home has a new rival in town. Pet owners looking to splurge on their pets will be able to choose from five new Jollyes superstore locations.
Jollyes, an award-winning chain of pet superstores, will be selling frozen food for cats and dogs, offering a community pet clinic service that provides animals with microchipping services, check-ups, flea and worm treatments from qualified Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons animal care providers. Pet owners can also spoil their animals with healthy Christmas treats and purchase Jollyes new extensive 'pick and mix' Natural Treat range that has pork rolls, sausages and lamb braid pigs' ear. Named Pet Retail Chain of the Year for 2023, Jollyes has opened 100 stores across the UK.
After opening five stores throughout October and November, the retailer will open two more in December, with additional locations planned for the new year.
Five of the new openings will be in vacant former Poundland sites, following the budget chain's announcement of a raft of store closures earlier this year.
Jollyes, founded in 1971, opened its first store in Enfield and has over 100 stores across the UK and Northern Ireland. With over 50 years of expertise and trust from their loyal customers, some of the Joylles stores offer The Jolly Groomer and veterinary services at their community pet Clinics.
The Scunthrope store was the first store to offer a collection of treatment services like the Wash and Go, later followed by Dartford, Enfield and Tonbridge Joylles which also offer grooming services.
The fast-growing retailer will also open a store in Cherry Tree Retail Park, Blackpool (January 24).
Jollyes' chief operating officer and CEO designate, Adam Dury, said: "These are exciting times for us here at Jollyes, bringing our combination of low prices and pet expertise to so many new communities before Christmas.
"We've had a warm welcome from customers in Chesterfield, Swansea and Southend and can't wait to now open our doors this week in the first of the former Poundland units we've secured."
The company is also partnering with delivery service Uber Eats to offer a five-mile radius delivery service coined 'Zoomies'. So your pets can enjoy toys and accessories and food delivered to their home.
