Vrikshasana Benefits: Nowadays, the legs and knees of many people start becoming weak without any injury. Problems like knee pain, lack of balance and fatigue increase silently. Vrikshasana
The word Vriksha means tree. In the final stage of the practice of this asana, the body position is like the shape of a tree. That is why it is called Vrikshasana. Apart from this, regular practice of this asana greatly improves the ability to concentrate. This yoga improves blood circulation and stimulates the digestive system.
This asana is beneficial for those who are suffering from mental stress, lack of concentration and physical instability.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Vrikshasana is a balancing yoga asana which provides body stability, mental concentration and physical strength. It strengthens legs, knees and spine and reduces stress.
Correct way to do Vrikshasana
There may be difficulty in balancing in the beginning of Vrikshasana. Therefore, to do this you can first take support of the wall. To do this, stand straight on the yoga mat. Now bend the right knee and place the right foot on the left thigh and balance the body by keeping the left leg straight. Raise the hands above the head and bring the palms together in Namaste Mudra. Remain in this position for some time. Then, return to normal position as per your capacity.
There may be difficulty in maintaining balance while doing this yoga asana in the beginning, but if you do it daily, you will start getting balance. In the beginning, do it for 15-30 times as per your capacity. Then gradually when you start getting balance, you can do it for 1 minute also. During this, take deep and steady breaths. It helps in concentration and stability.
