The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is a very beneficial scheme for employees working in the private sector, as it can be used whenever there is a sudden need for money. However, although the money deposited is yours, you cannot withdraw all of it at your discretion. There are certain rules and regulations. In this article, we will tell you how many times and how much money you can withdraw from your EPFO account for marriage.

Under the new EPFO rules, withdrawing PF for marriage has become much easier than before. Now, members can withdraw the entire amount of their PF (employee + employer's contribution), i.e., up to 100%, for their own marriage or the marriage of any family member. Furthermore, money can now be withdrawn up to five times for marriage, whereas the limit was previously only three times. Earlier, a minimum of 7 years of service was required to withdraw PF for marriage, but this has now been reduced to 12 months. Similarly, there is no longer a need to submit a marriage card or any specific document. A simple declaration form is sufficient, making the process even easier.

New Withdrawal Rules
The biggest change in the rules for withdrawing money from the PF, as introduced by the EPFO, is that you can now withdraw the entire amount from your PF fund. The maximum limit for withdrawals has been increased to 5 times, which was previously 3 times. The most significant change is in the years of service requirement. Earlier, different years of service were stipulated for different types of withdrawals. However, that limit has now been reduced to 12 months. Also, for withdrawals related to marriage, a marriage card or certificate is no longer required; a simple declaration form is sufficient.
