Delhi Fuel Ban: Delhi’s air quality has dropped to the “Severe” category, and the city is presently engulfed in a thick blanket of haze. By prohibiting the use of gasoline for cars with expired pollution certificates (PUCs), the Delhi government recently made a bold move. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the state’s environment minister, said Tuesday that cars without a valid PUC would not be permitted to fill at the state’s gas stations.

8 lakh car owners were fined.
Additionally, the state minister gave an overview of the state government’s initiatives to reduce pollution in the nation’s capital. The state minister also said at the press conference that 8 lakh car owners without a valid PUC have already received financial fines. The minister also said that only BS-6 automobiles would be permitted entry into Delhi from tomorrow.
Automatic Petrol Pump Cameras
The state minister gave more details on the gasoline ban that applies to cars without a valid PUC, stating that cameras placed on the gas station would automatically detect such cars and refuse them fuel without causing any trouble or dispute. The state government has been acting every day to reduce pollution in Delhi, the minister further said.
