Indian equity benchmarks ended the December 22 session on a positive note, with the Nifty closing above the 26,100 level, even as selling pressure was visible in select heavyweight stocks. The Sensex advanced 638.12 points, or 0.77 percent, to settle at 85,567.48, while the Nifty added 206 points, or 0.79 percent, to close at 26,172.40.

Despite the broader market strength, a few index constituents corrected and featured among the top losers on the Nifty 50. Here are the top losers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).

Top Nifty 50 Losers

• State Bank of India closed at ₹974.30, down 0.6%making it the largest decliner among Nifty 50 stocks for the session.

• HDFC Life Insurance ended at ₹761.80, finishing the day 0.6% lower.

• Kotak Mahindra Bank settled at ₹2,149.70, registering a 0.5% decline.

• Tata Consumer Products closed at ₹1,178.80, down 0.4%.

• SBI Life Insurance finished at ₹2,022.30, slipping 0.3%.

• Cipla ended the session at ₹1,512.90, lower by 0.3%.

• InterGlobe Aviation closed at ₹5,145.50, down 0.2%.

• Grasim Industries settled at ₹2,809.70, declining 0.1%.

• Bajaj Finance ended at ₹1,007.80, down 0.1%.

• Larsen & Toubro closed at ₹4,072.40, nearly unchanged with a 0.0% dip.
