Imagine the warm winter sun and sesame and jaggery ladoos... doesn't that make your mouth water? Whether it's Makar Sankranti or Lohri, the winter season is incomplete without sesame ladoos. However, people often complain that their ladoos either become hard as a rock or crumble.

Today, we bring you a 'perfect secret recipe'. If you make ladoos using this method, they will be so soft that they will melt in your mouth. And the best part? They are not only delicious but also a boon for your health and bones.

Ingredients for Sesame and Jaggery Ladoos
You don't need many ingredients to make these ladoos. Just find these 3-4 things in your kitchen:

White sesame seeds: 2 cups
Jaggery (grated or in small pieces): 1.5 cups
Ghee: 1 tablespoon (This is the secret to soft ladoos)
Cardamom powder: half a teaspoon (for fragrance)
(Optional: a few chopped almonds or cashews)

Easy Method to Make Sesame and Jaggery Ladoos
First, take a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the sesame seeds and roast them on low heat. Remember, don't increase the heat; otherwise, the sesame seeds will burn and become bitter. Roast them for just 3-4 minutes until they puff up slightly and release a fragrant aroma. Now, transfer the sesame seeds to a plate and let them cool.

In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee. As soon as the ghee melts, add the jaggery. Adding ghee gives the ladoos a shine and keeps them soft from the inside. Let the jaggery melt on low heat. As soon as the jaggery starts to froth, turn off the gas. We don't need to cook the jaggery too much, otherwise, the ladoos will become hard.

Now, immediately after turning off the gas, add the roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the melted jaggery. Mix it quickly. You have to do this quickly because the mixture starts to solidify as it cools. Start making the ladoos when the mixture is slightly warm (warm enough to touch). Apply a little water or ghee to your palms so that the mixture doesn't stick. Take a small amount of the mixture in your hand and roll it into a ball to form a ladoo.

A 'Power Dose' of Health
These ladoos are not just a sweet treat, but a winter 'superfood'.

Sesame seeds: They are rich in calcium, which helps relieve bone pain.
Jaggery: It keeps the body warm, helps combat anemia, and improves digestion.
