Lucknow. The Election Commission in Uttar Pradesh will release the voter list on Tuesday. This voter list will be raw and will contain 12.55 crore voters. In the process of SIR, names of 2.89 crore voters have been removed from the list. These are in the categories of transferred, absent and dead etc. Preparations for publication of draft voter list have been completed in all the districts.

On Monday, Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa held a meeting and took information about the preparations. Instructed the District Election Officers to take all necessary steps to release the pure voter list. Claims and objections on the voter list will be taken till Tuesday, February 6. At the same time, these claims and objections will be resolved by 27th February. The final voter list will be published on March 6.
At the same time, among the 2.89 crore voters whose names will be deleted, 1.26 crore are permanently transferred, 46 lakh are dead, 23.70 lakh are duplicate, 83.73 lakh are absent and 9.57 lakh are other category voters. 91 percent voters in the state have been matched with the voter list of 2003. That is, no document will be asked to include their name in the confirmed voter list.

To see your name in the draft voter list released by the Election Commission, visit the official website. After this click on Search Your Name in E-Roll. Here you can check your name in the draft voter list by entering your EPIC number and state name.
