Indore, 9 January. A horrific road accident took place on Friday morning near Tejaji Nagar bypass in Ralamandal, Indore. Three people, including the daughter of former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bala Bachchan, died in this accident. At the same time, a woman was seriously injured. Prerna, who was Bala Bachchan’s daughter, was also among the victims. Bala Bachchan is a well-known Congress leader who has previously been the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh and is currently the MLA from Rajpur seat. Prerna was traveling in a car, which collided with a truck, due to which the car was completely shattered.

According to the police, they were returning from some function. The other two deceased have been identified as Sandhu and Prakhar. A girl was seriously injured in this accident, who is undergoing treatment. According to the initial police report, this accident happened in the early morning due to low visibility or high speed. After receiving information about the accident, emergency services reached the spot. Police immediately secured the area, recovered the bodies and took them to a nearby hospital for postmortem.

The authorities have registered the case and started a detailed investigation to find out the exact cause. If police sources are to be believed, the truck driver fled from the spot after the accident. After this incident, a wave of shock has run in the political circles of Madhya Pradesh. Bala Bachchan’s family is saddened by the sudden death of their daughter. Condolences have been expressed from all parties.

Similar fatal accidents have happened earlier also on bypass roads like Tejaji Nagar. Local people and activists are demanding strict enforcement of traffic rules and better infrastructure to prevent such tragedies. Police have urged caution on the highway in the morning when there is low visibility due to dense fog.
