Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said these things while addressing professionals, industry people, teachers, entrepreneurs and students at the ‘Professionals Connect 2026’ conference organized by the Professional Cell of BJP in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
He described the city of Coimbatore as a symbol of business, discipline and quiet confidence.
Hardeep Puri wrote on social media platform X that energy security is being strengthened in the country to achieve the goal of a developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. For this, the entire system to oil and gas is being strengthened and rapid steps are being taken towards green energy.
He further said that he got the opportunity to be associated with many visionary schemes of Prime Minister Modi, which improved the lives of people and made India known across the world. These schemes have gone beyond development for women and strengthened the vision of women-led development.
During the discussion, Hardeep Puri talked about the positive effects of the reform schemes and policies of the Central Government. He said that these reforms have strengthened India’s economic progress and the country is now moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.
He also said that the benefits of these reforms have reached every section of the society, due to which social and economic participation has increased more than ever before.
The minister also spoke on India’s energy security. He said that the country is focusing on strengthening the oil and gas system as well as rapid adoption of green energy.
He said India has already achieved the target of 20 per cent biofuel mix and is also making steady progress towards future fuels like green hydrogen, which is part of the dream of a developed India.
Hardeep Puri said that more than four crore houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been registered in the name of women or jointly with them. Apart from this, it has been announced to build three crore more houses in the year 2024.
He further said that the toilets built under the Swachh Bharat Mission have given respect and safety to girls and women, hence they are often called ‘Izzat Ghar’.
