digital desk- Union Minister and President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan has strongly attacked the statement of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Regarding Tejashwi Yadav’s statement of “speaking after seeing the work of 100 days of the government”, Chirag said that this kind of thinking has become the biggest reason for the loss of support base of RJD and Congress. Calling it an insult to the mandate, he said that this is the reason why the public rejected these parties. While talking to the media, Chirag Paswan said that RJD and Congress always talk about vote theft, whereas the truth is that their very support base has been stolen. He said that when election results are in their favour, everything seems fine, but as soon as they lose, sometimes questions are raised on EVMs and sometimes SIR is blamed. This double standard is dangerous for democracy.
If their government is formed then EVMs become reliable – Chirag Paswan
He further said that if Congress or RJD form the government in their states using EVMs, then the same EVMs become trustworthy, but where there is a defeat, allegations of scam are made. Chirag said that until these parties introspect, the ground will keep slipping from under their feet. The Union Minister said that after 2005, the inclination of the public was clearly visible in the politics of Bihar. After NDA got the mandate in 2010, RJD and Congress became aware of their situation. He claimed that if Nitish Kumar had not been with him in 2015, RJD would never have been able to return to power. Similarly, if NDA had remained united in 2020 and separate elections were not fought, then the revival of RJD would not have been possible.
It is unfortunate that Tejashwi was missing from the session.
Making a personal attack on Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag said that it is unfortunate that he remained missing from the assembly session for a long time while holding the constitutional post of Leader of Opposition. He questioned that even after so long of the defeat, Tejashwi neither communicated with his MLAs nor discussed the reasons for the defeat with the workers. This lack of communication is causing the downfall of the party. Chirag Paswan taunted and said that this time RJD has somehow managed to reach double digits and if the same attitude continues then in the future it will be difficult to reach even the required number for the post of Leader of Opposition.
Tejashwi Yadav should first answer on his defeat – Chirag
Responding to the statement of not saying anything for 100 days, Chirag said that do not speak at all, speak only when there is something to say. He said that Tejashwi Yadav should first answer on his defeat. He sarcastically reminded that before the election results, there were talks of taking oath as Chief Minister on the 18th. This arrogance, working style and lack of communication became the reason for the public’s decision. The Union Minister said that whether we remain silent for 100 days or 5 years, it will not make any difference, because the public has given its verdict.
