Star pickleball player Shreya Chakraborty clinched the Open Women's Singles title at the Kolkata Pickleball Championship on January 16, delivering a composed and commanding performance in the PWR 200 final.

Shreya, who represented Hyderabad Royals in the Indian Pickleball League in December last year, showcased her experience and competitive edge against Sarvani Chintalapalli in a closely fought encounter. Shreya set the tone early with an aggressive approach, racing through the opening game 11-3 to take a decisive lead. Sarvani responded strongly in the second game, adjusting her strategy and levelling the match by winning 11-4. With the contest poised on a knife's edge, Shreya elevated her game in the decider, displaying superior control and shot selection to close out the third game 11-4.   The victory underlined Shreya's consistency and tactical awareness on court, as she navigated momentum shifts to secure the championship. Her triumph in Kolkata adds another notable achievement to her growing résumé in Indian pickleball.
