Standup comedian and actor Vir Das made his directorial debut with Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos. The spoofy spy comedy is produced by Aamir Khan and also has Kavi Shastri as Vir Das’ co-director.

What’s more interesting about Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos is that it marks the comeback of Imran Khan after more than a decade at the big screen even if it’s just for a cameo.

Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos Audience Review

As the movie released in theatres, audience seems to have taken a liking for it. Sharing their review of the movie, one social media user wrote, “Oh to laugh at the movies again. #HappyPatelKhatarnakJasoos is a blast. It's hard to properly describe its comedic tonality and particular wavelength of wacky. It's a distinct, singular kind of silly, a specific kind of fever dream funny.”

Another user reacted, “#HappyPatelKhatarnakJasoos Review. 'Wacky, quirky, and unapologetically mad’. Remember those Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin, Adam Sandler, and Rob Schneider–type movies that delivered nonstop, unfiltered humour with quirky punchlines, a bit of naughty comedy, and playful digs at popular films? Well, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ belongs to that very space.”

A third user commented, “Exclusive Review: #HappyPatelKhatarnakJasoos. Rating - 3/5. The Madness We Missed Is Back. When #AamirKhanProductions teams up with the wonderfully unhinged mind of Vir Das, you don’t expect subtlety—you expect chaos with craft. Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos delivers exactly that. For years, Hindi cinema fans have craved the anarchic energy of #DelhiBelly and #GoGoaGone .. This film doesn’t just revive that genre—it updates it for 2026, louder, bolder, and unapologetically adult. This is not a film that asks for your logic. It asks for your laughter—and maybe your thick skin.”
