Southwell LIVE: Armed police descend on UK town as cordon in place in central streets

Armed police swarmed a UK town on Friday afternoon. A large police presence was reported in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 1pm. A large cordon was put in place by police, closing off several streets in the centre.
Reports that two local schools have been placed on lockdown while emergency services deal with the incident also emerged, NottinghamshireLive wrote.
