Ratlam. During the biggest action ever against drugs in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, the police has exposed a factory where MD drugs were being manufactured. The name of Dilawar Pathan has emerged as the main accused in the case, who is not only a member of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) but has also been the party’s candidate from Javra seat in the 2023 assembly elections.

High-voltage drama during the raid-
On the basis of confidential information received by SP Amit Kumar, the police team raided the factory with full preparation.

Protest and siege: During the action, the women of Dilawar’s family strongly opposed the police team and tried to obstruct the work. However, the police showed promptness and cordoned off the factory and did not give anyone a chance to get out.

Large consignment recovered: According to sources, a huge quantity of narcotics and equipment for making it have been recovered from the factory.

Clarification of MP Chandrashekhar’s party-
After the pictures of accused Dilawar Pathan with MP Chandrashekhar Azad went viral, Azad Samaj Party immediately issued an official letter and clarified:

Brushed aside: The party said that Dilawar Pathan was completely inactive in the party since the 2023 elections and no connection of any kind has been maintained with him.

Demand for fair investigation: The party made it clear that if he is guilty then strict action should be taken, but also warned that action should not be taken against innocent people on the basis of any religious bias.

Increasing scope of investigation-
After this revelation, Ratlam Police is now investigating where Dilawar Pathan used to supply these drugs and which other big names are involved in this syndicate. The political influence of the accused indicates that this network may be quite deep.
