Easy way to make Kashmiri tea

Step 1: Prepare the decoction

Put 2 cups of water in a pan and keep it on gas. Add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon in it. Now add 3 tablespoons Kashmiri tea leaves and boil on medium flame.

Step 2: Important steps for color

Keep boiling the tea while stirring continuously, until the water reduces to about 1 cup. Now add ½ teaspoon baking soda in it. Keep in mind, only baking soda has to be added, not baking powder.

Step 3: Add cold water

Now add 2 cups of ice cold water into it. This enhances the color and taste of tea in a better way. Boil again and keep stirring until about 1 cup of decoction remains. This process takes about 20-25 minutes, but this is the key to the real taste.

Step 4: Strain the decoction

Turn off the gas and filter the decoction. After cooking properly, its color will become dark red-black. You can keep this decoction in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Step 5: Boil Milk

Boil 2 cups full cream milk in a separate pan. Add sugar in it and let it dissolve well.

Step 6: Mix the decoction

When the milk starts boiling, add the prepared decoction into it little by little. As soon as the milk starts turning light pink, the tea is ready. Keep in mind, adding too much decoction can make the tea bitter.

Step 7: Final Boil

Let the tea boil for 1-2 minutes and then turn off the gas. Your perfect pink Kashmiri tea is ready. If you wish, you can further enhance the taste by adding chopped pistachios or almonds on top.
