Tamil Nadu: With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections drawing closer, actor-turned-politician Vijay has begun laying the groundwork for his first major electoral contest. As president of the newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Vijay has taken a decisive step by constituting a dedicated election campaign committee. This move reflects a clear intent to transition from symbolic political entry to structured, state-wide political mobilisation aimed at making an impact across all 234 Assembly constituencies.

The newly announced campaign committee consists of ten members drawn from senior leadership within the party and experienced political figures.
