America also got the support of Jordan in this operation. Due to the sensitive regional situation after the operation, the US Embassy in Jordan has issued a security alert for its citizens.

The US Embassy said in the statement that it is continuously monitoring the ongoing tension in the region and appealed to all citizens to maintain strong personal security measures. The Embassy also clarified that there have been no changes to its operations and staff and consular services are continuing as normal. Also, necessary updates will continue to be issued in case of any new or emergency situation.

Civil defense alarm system activated

The embassy has asked citizens to be especially alert about possible aerial activities such as missiles, drones or rockets. The Government of Jordan has activated the Civil Defense Alarm System in case of any such threat. The US Embassy has instructed that when the alarm sounds, people should take shelter in safe places, stay indoors and maintain distance from falling debris. ‘All Clear’ It has been advised to stay in safe places till the siren sounds.

How to get alert?

According to Jordan’s Public Security Directorate (PSD), the first alert comes in the form of intermittent bang-like sounds that warn of potential danger. After this, a continuous high-pitched siren signals the end of the danger. Usually this is followed by a voice message in Arabic giving information about the reason for the alert. It has also been advised to contact emergency services in case of any injury or damage.

Crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood also tightened

Meanwhile, America has taken a major step to declare the branches of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan as terrorist organizations. The US Treasury Department said that these organizations are accused of supporting terrorist groups like Hamas and promoting violent activities against Israel and US partners in the region. Under this decision, all assets to Muslim Brotherhood in America will be frozen and any financial transaction to them will be considered criminal.
