When Will India U19 Play Their Next Match In 2026 World Cup?

With two wins from as many matches, the India U19 cricket team has already qualified for the second round of the 2026 U19 World Cup. The Ayush Mhatre-led side kicked off its journey with a six-wicket win over the USA in a rain-marred affair.
The Boys in Blue chased down the target of 96 at the loss of four wickets to kick off their journey with a win. India U19 had a tough night against Bangladesh and only managed a 12-run win. Asked to bat first, the five-time U10 WC-winning team lost two wickets for just 12 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi held one end and kept the scoreboard ticking. The aggressive batsman played according to the situation and scored 72 off 67 balls. Batting with a strike rate of 107.46, Suryavanshi hit 3 sixes and 6 fours in his knock. Abhigyan Kundu also played his part and played a key role in taking India's score past the 200-run mark. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 80 off 112 balls. Kanishk Chouhan's 28 off 26 balls proved to be the game-changer for India. After losing an early wicket, Bangladesh recovered well and they were 62/2 after 11.5 overs. They started losing wickets at regular intervals after breaching the 100-run mark and fell short by 18 runs in a rain-marred affair. Vice-captain Vihaan Malhotra shone with the ball and scalped 4 wickets for just 14 runs in his four overs. He was bestowed with the Player of the Match for his performance. When will India play their next match? India U19 have a long break now and they will make their on-field return against New Zealand on January 24. India U19 will also be in action in the Super 6 round after the end of the league stage. India are the favourites to win the WC title for the sixth time. The two semi-finals of the 2026 U19 WC are scheduled to be played on February 3 and 4. The final of the ICC event will be held on February 6 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare from 1:00 PM IST.
