Bengaluru: A road rage incident was reported in the city after a bike rider allegedly threatened a couple with a deadly weapon on a public road in the Kadugodi police station limits.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday around 6 pm when the couple was travelling in a car. A verbal argument reportedly broke out between the car occupants and a bike rider over an unspecified issue.
Later, when the car stopped at a signal near an apartment complex, the bike rider stopped his vehicle and confronted the couple in the middle of the road. The argument escalated, during which the bike rider allegedly showed a deadly weapon and threatened the couple, police said.
The entire incident was recorded on the car’s dash camera. The video was later shared on social media and went viral. Based on the viral footage, Kadugodi police registered a suo motu case and launched a search for the accused.
Police officials said efforts are underway to trace the bike rider using the vehicle registration number. A case has been registered at the Kadugodi police station, and further investigation is in progress.
