A production company owned by Russell Brand has generated profits of £7 million since he faced multiple sexual assault allegations. The comedian and actor, 50, previously denied five charges including two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault in relation to four women. A trial is set to start at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June 2026 for the five original charges which allegedly took place on dates spanning between 1999 and 2005 in central London and Bournemouth.
A recent Times report showed that his company, Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm made £4 million in 2024, in filings released on Companies House just weeks after he was was charged with two further offences including one count of rape on December 23. Brand is due to appear at Westminster magistrates' court later this month in relation to the latest charges.
Detectives began investigating allegations into Brand which came to light following reporting from the Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4's Dispatches in September 2023.
That year Brand's business profits rose by £3 million and Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm has £5 million in cash.
Brand has since shifted away from acting and has become more focussed on social commentary using social media platforms.
Following pressure from MPs, YouTube suspended advertising on his channel but he continues to generate income from other digital sources.
This includes the Awakened Wonders Community group, where fans pay $60 per year to access exclusive videos, including his live weekly Break Bread special where he discusses faith with guests, according to The Times.
The born-again Christian also continues to make money from his Rumble account.
Brand, who was born in Essex, rose to fame as a stand-up comedian and became a household name as host of TV shows like Big Brother's Big Mouth, and with his own radio programmes on stations including BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music.
He went on to establish a Hollywood career, starring in films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek.
