Uttar Pradesh: A very heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the CRPF camp of Greater Noida. A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable and his wife have been accused of brutally attacking their 10-year-old relative. The condition of the girl is so serious that she has been kept on ventilator in Max Hospital, Sector-128.
Medical examination revealed that several of his ribs were broken, teeth were broken, nails were dislocated and the hemoglobin level had fallen to just 1.9. Doctors have called it a case of extreme cruelty.
The girl was made to do household chores
According to the police FIR, the girl is the niece of the constable’s wife. She was living with the couple in the government quarters of the CRPF camp for some time. The allegation is that she was made to do all the household work, like a domestic help.
No information about this was given to the department. The girl was made a victim of beatings on small matters. He was facing physical torture and starvation for a long time.
Admitted to Max Hospital
The attack was reportedly so severe that the girl’s condition deteriorated late on Wednesday night. He was first taken to Sarvodaya Hospital at around 2 am on Thursday morning. The doctors there found serious injuries and registered a medico-legal case.
The constable tried to get the girl discharged early citing financial constraints, but when her condition worsened, she was admitted to Max Hospital. Now UP Police personnel are deployed in the hospital and many senior officers have come to see the condition of the girl.
Constable suspended
A case of attempt to culpable homicide has been registered against the couple under sections of the Indian Justice Code. CRPF has immediately suspended the constable. A force official said that a thorough investigation is going on and the health of the girl comes first.
If found guilty, strict action will be taken. The constable was posted in the 235th battalion since January 2024 and also worked as a first aider at the CRPF hospital in Noida.
