Princess Beatrice's husband has received some unpleasant news as one of the projects his business was involved in has been put into administration. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's interiors business, Banda Property, worked on a £125million luxury beach development by Rory O'Brien in Australia.

The property, called Masthead Ocean Club, is located in Australia's Gold Coast and features 28 luxury apartments right by the beach. But four years after Mr Mapelli Mozzi's work on the 37-storey tower, the project went bust, with the firm behind it going into administration, owing backers £10million, according to The Sun.

The outlet said the plot has now been fenced off with signs saying "Mortgagee in Possession".

Edo, as he is otherwise known, advertised the property on his company's Instagram account in late October.

A post from October 2022 read: "The design for Masthead is inspired by the natural landscape - the vibrancy and saturation of the hues, textures and movement draws from the surrounding context."

Another one from the same time period read: "With the uniqueness of this property, we wanted to explore the concept of relaxed and liveable luxury."

According to its website, Mr Mapelli Mozzi worked on the development as a joint venture partner, while Banda was its joint venture partner and designer.

Sources told the outlet that Banda completed its role in the project by March 2023.

The husband of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's eldest daughter has worked on various development projects in the UK and globally.

He began a relationship with Beatrice sometime in 2018, with the two marrying in July 2020.
