Peter Siddle, aged 41, proved that age is just a number, as during the Big Bash League Knockout of Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars at the Bellerive Oval, he bowled 145.8 kilometers per hour fast yorker to Nikhil Chaudhary at 7.5 of the Hurricanes innings. Chaudhary could not dig it out, and the ball slipped through Sam Harper's gloves for a bye. The crowd and almost some players were still in disbelief that a 41-year-old could reach such heights on the clock in a knockout.
The moment soon became a talking point through the game; many a fan were praising Mr. Siddle for still managing to bowl planes with speed and control with his age. Siddle has always been regarded for hardy work ethics and fitness, and this yorker proved he still has it in him to push for the best at the highest level.

Hurricanes Posts 114 in 10 Overs
Fireworks in the innings of Hobart Hurricanes were swift but lacked substance. Although the efforts of Beau Webster, who made 47, and Nikhil Chaudhary with a brisk 24 were seen, there was plenty of time left to rotate the strike, with wickets still in hand and moments thrown away. Haris Rauf was the best bowler, with two wickets and control over the going rate. Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Swepson offered their service in compiling economical overs that eventually drew pressure on Stars.
Melbourne Stars will have to respond with their bats in order to chase down a require 115 from the remaining 10 overs. With Peter Siddle to lead the pace attack while Maxwell could create game-changing moments, then the chances lean slightly toward Stars. Bellerive Oval tends to have almost the ideal conditions for fast bowlers: the pitch tends to be bouncy and carry while the batters need to time the ball to perfection to clear the boundaries. An exciting second session is expected as the Stars will hope to seal their berth in the next phase of the tournament.
