Bengaluru: Senior Sandalwood actor and BJP Rajya Sabha member Jaggesh has expressed strong displeasure on social media over Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s conduct during a public interaction.
A video that has gone viral shows the Chief Minister seated in his car when a supporter approached him to offer a photograph of Raghavendra Swamy. In the footage, Siddaramaiah is seen not accepting the photograph and pushing it away with his hand.
The incident has drawn criticism from devotees of Raghavendra Swamy. Jaggesh, a known devotee of Raghavendra Swamy, shared the video on social media platform X and expressed his objection to the Chief Minister’s action.
Following the circulation of the video, Jaggesh posted a message stating his displeasure over what he described as the rejection of a devotional offering.
Where the incident occurred
According to sources, the incident took place near the Chief Minister’s official residence, Cauvery. Siddaramaiah was on his way to HAL to travel to Belagavi and was accepting petitions from members of the public near the gate of the residence. During this time, a person from the crowd attempted to hand over the photograph, leading to the incident.
Several BJP leaders have also criticised Siddaramaiah over the matter.
