The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT 1 Admit Card 2026 on January 22 for candidates applying to Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer posts in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.

The online written examination is scheduled to be conducted on January 31, 2026, at various centres across the country.

Steps to Download AFCAT 1 Admit Card 2026

Step 1: Visit the official AFCAT website at afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: Click on the AFCAT 1 Admit Card 2026 link available on the homepage
Step 3: Log in using the required credentials
Step 4: Download the admit card and take a printout for exam-day use
Step 5: Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination without a valid admit card.

AFCAT Exam Date and Shift Timings 2026

  • The AFCAT 1 exam will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in a single shift.
  • Candidates are required to report at the exam centre by 8:00 AM, while the entry gates will close at 9:30 AM.
  • Verification of admit cards, ID proof, biometric verification, photograph capturing, and seating arrangements will take place between 8:00 AM and 9:45 AM.
  • Instructions will be read out to candidates from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM, following which the examination will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2026

The AFCAT 1 examination will be conducted in online mode. All questions will be objective-type and set only in English.
The paper will cover four key areas:
  • General Awareness
  • Verbal Ability in English
  • Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test
The total duration of the exam is 2 hours, comprising 100 questions carrying a maximum of 300 marks.
