All about ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’Jiiva starrer ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ hit the theatres on January 15. The film is directed by Malayali filmmaker Nithish Sahadev. He is best known for his Malayalam blockbuster ‘Falimy’ featuring Basil Joseph, Jagadish, and Manju Pillai.
‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ is set in a fictional village in Tamil Nadu. The film revolves around Panchayat President Jeevarathinam AKA Jeeva (played by Jiiva), who is clinging onto his chair and spearheads every occasion in the village. However, when a wedding and a funeral collide the same day, chaos erupts.
TOI ranked the film 3 stars, and the review reads, “Nothing strips civilization off grown men faster than a scheduling conflict. Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimiyil understands this. Nithish Sahadev, making his Tamil debut after the well-received Malayalam film Falimy, makes an interesting call with Jiiva's character. Jiiva commits to the energy without overplaying it: a man who keeps hitting walls he won't climb over.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Meenakshi Dinesh will be next seen in Youth, starring Ken.
